Free Good OL’ Advice

Helpful Advice You Can Use  and Saves A Lot of Money:

Cold Virus - Don't forget to apply some hand sanitizer to your vehicle keys and the dashboard knobs and steering wheel and shifter knob.  Many people disinfect their homes and forget these vital places.  Imagine how filthy your keys are reeking with viruses and bacteria and you bring them into your home.   This advice will cut way back on the transmission of cold and other viruses.  Try it and see the improvement for yourself.

Contacts List - create a file so you can access it electronically when needed no matter where you are.  It's just a page listing every important contact.  Include your vehicle VIN numbers, license plates, driver license number.  If you vehicle or wallet is stolen you will be glad you have the information and you know who to call.  That means you need to list all the credit card info and phone numbers to call too.  The list will grow as you add to it.  When you need the information it will be easily obtainable by you.  Password protect the file.

Computer - Back up your files or you will certainly lose them from computer failures.  Important:  never compress the files, encrypt or password protect them as these schemes fail and will prevent you from accessing your back up files.  Put your back up files on an external hard disk drive and store it off site.  A good place is inside your vehicle so if you house burns down your car is outside away from the home.  ID theft is a risk due to no password protection.  If this bothers you, then put the hard disk drive in a safe deposit box in a bank.  Why no passwords or encryption of data? Because if you get ill or die nobody will be able to access your data because nobody has your passwords! Don't use tape, CD-ROM's, DVD's for backups as they scratch, warp from heat and fail.  Hard disk drive is best.  Solid state drive is better. When backing up files don't use back up software.  Do a manual file-by-file backup.  How?  Copy and paste directories one at a time to your external backup drive.  Why?  Because back up software programs fail and often won't work to replace files on a new computer.  It's okay to have more than one backup.  So, do a file-by-file and use an image backup program if you want, but remember, the file-by-file is going to remain the most reliable and will bail you out every time and you need no special software to access your computer files.  I rely on the file-by-file having learned the hard way painfully losing valuable data using other methods.  Don't use backup companies to store your data as they too can be broken into and your data stolen.

Clothes Dryer - This device is an energy hog and expensive to operate because it requires a lot of heat to dry wet clothing.  But there is a device you can insert along with your clothes that will save 30% of the energy used to dry clothing and gets the job done faster than what you now do your clothing.  They are called Dryer Balls.  They are rubber balls with spikes on them and they really do work to save energy and they often soften your clothes better than liquid and cloth sheet softener products.  Try the product.  You will save time and money.

Computer Software - you do need anti-virus software.  It is just too risky to be without it.

Financial Independence - People dream of it, work and save their money in hopes of obtaining it in retirement, but most all fail.  Why?  Because they have not learned one very important lesson.  If you want financial independence you not only have to start your own business, you need to develop a product to sell that only "you" have so the rest of the world has to come to you to get that product.  Develop a new product, even an old similar product will do.  What about patents?  You can, but you don't have to file for a patent and pay the tens of thousands of dollars it will cost you only to find out the product idea fails.  Solution?  Just develop a new product and sell it and see how it goes from their.  If it is successful then file a patent, if not move on to a new ideal and a new product.  Women can create a new cosmetic product.  Men can create a new cleaning product for a car, motorcycle or some other machinery to get started.  How to get started?  Search on the Internet for "contract manufacturers" or "custom blenders" and manufacturers already have product that can put you own label on the product.  Imagine that!  Start you new product as a side-line for fun then let it grow and expand until you can kiss your present job goodbye.  See Taking Tax Deduction below.

Fly Killer - Try this all purpose cleaner, Cinch.  Just srpay it at a flying fly and down it goes.  No mess, no stains, no poison fumes in the home.  Kills instantly.  No swatting or chasing down the fly.  If you can get just a few particles of Cinch on the fly, it stops flying and dies.  Nothing works better.  Cinch can be bought at supermarkets.  Made by Spicnspan.com  It also, of course, is a very nice cleaner especially on glass and computer screens.  Absolutely no smears whatsoever, no rubbing the glass.  Just spray it on and wipe it off.  You will like to have Cinch in your home.

Gas Mileage - Correct tire air pressure, low rolling resistant tires, clean air filter.  These are the three big things you always hear about and for good reason, they work.  But don't forget to get some iridium spark plugs.  They have a brighter spark to increase miles per gallon and power too!  Use regular gas 87 octane fuel if you live above 3,000 feet in elevation as octane requirements are decreased with the lean air conditions.  You'll save a lot of money, hundreds of dollars each year or more! But, if you hear pinging noises when you accelerate hard try using 89 octane fuel.  This works with motorcycles too!  Use fuel injector cleaner every three months.  Try adding Marvel Mystery Oil in the gasoline tank.  It's a good product to clean and lubricate intake valves and upper cylinders.  You can certainly use it in most diesel engines, but check with Marvel first as some new diesels may not take a liking to it (air pollution systems).  Try using an alternative product that will be compatible.  Add a can of Restore to your car or truck gas or diesel engine oil at each oil change. It will increase the compression, increase power and gas mileage.  Try it!  (But don't use it in motorcycles with a wet clutch).

Internet Addresses - If keeping track of all your important contacts is critical consider obtaining an Internet Address Book that is separated from your computer.  If your computer hard drive fails or it is stolen, lost in fire or flood all of your contacts will be lost too, including all the passwords and usernames you need.
Lost and Found - if you ever find an external memory device (like a thumb drive) never plug it into your computer.  It can be a device intentionally left so it will infect the computer of the person who finds it.  That virus or other executable program can steal the information from your computer and relay it over the Web back to the thief who wants your private information.

Mechanical - get all your ducks lined up before you need maintenance repairs on vehicles or around the home.  The best time to find a good mechanic or handyman is when you don't need one.  This way you will not make the wrong call out of desperation and end up with a bum who will perform shoddy workmanship and overcharge you too.  Word of mouth referrals can be very helpful but you need a lot of people saying that person is good, not just one.  Make sure the person is properly trained, licensed and insured / bonded.  If you subscribe to consumer reports magazine you will read articles about these things.

Medical Record List- create a page listing all medications, doctors, insurance company, etc.  Put this page in your wallet.  When you need the information it is right there.  Makes life easier.  Do not password protect the file so emergency personnel can read it, but this does open the possibility of medical identity theft.   Consider entering all the data electronically in an online medical data vault as this is the trend of the future and all you need is list where your medical information is being stored so "authorized" people can access it.  See Microsoft Health Vault for an example.

Medicine - you can sometimes save money if you ask your doctor to subscribe a larger dose pill that can be split in half to meet your required dose.  The larger dose pill may actually cost less than the smaller dose pill.  Use generic name whenever possible than name-brand medications.

Motorcycles - go to this page for lots of free advice and save you money too!

Motorcycle or Car Flat Tires - Many people do not carry a flat tire repair kit with them, but they should, especially motorcycle riders with alloy wheels as the flat can be easily repaired.  All you need is the rope type flat tire fix kit and a small portable air compressor that runs off the vehicle battery.  Make sure the power cord is long enough or the air hose is long to reach from the vehicle battery to all four tires.  Simply read the instructions and flat tires will be no problem for you.  Carry a set of needle nose pliers so you can remove the imbedded nail or object from the tire.  Keep a flashlight in the repair kit.  Remember, your cell phone may not work in many areas in the country or it may break or the batteries fail.  Why not be prepared to fix the flat yourself?  I keep my kit in a fork bag on my motorcycle and a kit in my pickup truck under the back seat.  I have tow insurance, but I can fix a flat if need be.

Printers - best printer to save money on ink?  Get a Kodak printer.  You'll save lots of money.  If you don't need color printing buy a laser jet printer.  The toner does not evaporate like ink does and cost per printed page is very, very low.  A good brand of printer (monochrome or color) to consider is Brother.  They have all the modern features and their toner prints thousands of pages more.  They also have wonderful color printers too.   HP printers were the best at one time, but they have lost reliability and the cost of their print cartridges are outrageously expensive.  Canon and Epson makes nice high-end ink jet printers for photos.  Check out Kodak and Brother brands before you buy a printer, you will save a lot of money.  Remember, if you print high resolution vector graphics (like the very sharp and fine lines on a dollar bill) get a laser printer.  Ink jet printers can't can't do the job, they smear the lines together.  Stay away from Zerox brand printers.  They are not true laser printers with toner, they often use solid ink and they won't print vector graphics and are unreliable, jam often, locks up and freezes, hard drive failures, random error messages, software failues, tech support nonexistent, unhelpful, etc.  I paid approximately $5,000 for one of their better Phaser printers and it was so terrible I had to give it away for free.  I lost a lot of money on Zerox! Don't make the same mistake I made.  I own Kodak, Canon and Brother printers.   I see a lot of people at print shops that could be saving a ton of money if they just bought their own printer.  Printing is not cheap, but personal inkjet and laser printers are!

Sickness Prevention - carry alcohol hand wipes with you and use them often.  Especially in supermarkets and when you leave supermarkets.  The hand cart handles are filthy dirty with germs.  This includes any retail store.  That is where you are getting most all of your head colds, flu and even diarrhea episodes and worse diseases.  When you leave a retail business wipe your hands clean.  Also clean the steering wheel in your car and other knobs and levers you touch.  You will see a much better improvement with less colds.
Shopping List - create a file that lists everything you buy and own.  Include the model and serial number and date purchased, where it was purchased and a phone number.  (also, list the vehicles, vin number as in your "Contacts List" above) now when you want to buy a part for your car or other household item you can refer to your shopping list and know precisely which model and part number you need.  Use the shopping list to record where you buy your favorite foods and the supermarket where it is sold.  Now you will know everything you need to know just by accessing that handy shopping list page.  Makes errands easy, less stressful.

Success - Consider selling a product.  Better yet, develop your own product and sell it.  No matter which career you choose you can always create and sell a product on the side.  Who knows?  It could launch you into a much better life.  At worse, you will earn extra income.  Learn marketing, that is the secret to selling products.  Be creative and give away free samples or free novelty items to attract people to your product/business.  You will see the "free" concept in all the major corporations advertising because it works.

Tires - You never know the air pressure in your tires unless you have some fancy and expensive device to monitor tire air pressure.  Go buy some valve caps called "TireWise".  They screw onto the valve stem and if green the air pressure is good, if red, the air pressure is low.  Very handy, easy to see and inexpensive.  Works for cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATV's etc.  Hint:  Get the air pressure size that matches one pound air pressure above the maximum or recommended air pressure noted on the tire or on the vehicle's frame or owners manual.  Come with a three year warranty.

Trapped Inside Your House - it happens and it can mean a slow and frightening death for you or a loved one .  Go into your bathroom or other rooms and closets and imagine if the door lock failed.  Could you escape?  Some rooms have no windows.  Would anyone be able to hear your screams?  I was trapped inside an RV once and I learned my lesson.  The door latch failed and I had no way out, but I did escape from a small roof vent and I was lucky I had a screwdriver to remove the vent.  In your home let's assume you have two bathrooms and a closet that if the door latch slammed closed on any of them by the wind and failed, you would be seriously trapped inside.  In this case, buy a small flashlight and a screwdriver with a Philips and flat blade (or whatever style is required to disassemble that door lock) and keep the tools inside each of those death trap locations so you can escape!  This is wise preparation.  You may not have your cell phone with you when it happens so be prepared.  Put this on your "to do" list before you regret it.

Three Lists - There are three documents you should create electronically that will make life easy for you.  They are listed here in this article as Contacts List, Medical Records List and the Shopping List.  Do it.

Vehicle Maintenance - Learn to change your own oil in your vehicles.  You'll save money and enjoy knowing the job is done right with high quality parts and oil that will save you expensive repair bills.  It's enjoyable to do it yourself.  If you have a motorcycle, click here

WHY DO WE HUMANS GET SICK WHILE ANIMALS IN THE WILD DON’T

If we will take just a few moments to consider the animals in the wild I believe we can learn something from them. Animals in the wild carry no Health Insurance, nor do they have made available to them Medicare, Medicaid, Hospitals, doctors, drugs, radiation, or surgeries.
Nor do they have university trained nutritionists to tell them what they should or should not eat, or how many grams of this or calories of that they should consume to be properly nourished, and yet animals in the wild rarely ever get sick!

So just what is it that allows animals in the wild, without any help from experts in the medical community or dieticians to experience excellent health, while man with all these so-called helps, becomes sicker and sicker as the cost of this so-called health care continues to climb?

Here is the answer: Animals in the wild follow the instincts God placed within them when He created them. An animal in the wild knows by the instinct programmed into them by God, where to go to obtain the nutrients necessary to sustain life immediately upon birth. Do they not instinctively seek out mother’s milk supply without any help from man?

And after these wild animals are weaned, do they not know instinctively and by mother’s example, and without mans help, what to eat in order to sustain life? We call them dumb animals, but they are far wiser than we humans when it comes to how to nourish and maintain their God created physical bodies.

WHY DO AUTOMOBILES PING AND KNOCK?
Most people who drive an automobile know that the engine of the vehicle they are driving was designed by its designer to run on a certain grade or octane of gasoline. If a person is not aware of this requirement and in ignorance places within the gas tank of that vehicle a low octane fuel or contaminated fuel, what will be the result? Will that low octane or contaminated fuel not cause pinging and knocking to occur within the engine?

Now if when that pinging and knocking occurs, they take the vehicle to a mechanic to fix and he is unaware that they have put a low octane or contaminated fuel in the gas tank, the mechanic might do all kinds of things in an effort to fix the problem, possibly making the problem even worse, while charging money for his unsuccessful efforts.

But the mechanic will be unable to fix the problem as long as he is unaware that the problem was caused by the owner placing wrong fuel into the gas tank. Doesn’t that sound a lot like what the bible says about how doctors have unsuccessfully been trying to fix the physical problems of mankind for over 2,000 years.

“And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood for twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse.” (Mark 5:25-26)

If we humans are going to experience the health we so desire, and the health animals in the wild enjoy, we must be mindful of the warning God gives us in Galatians 6:7, and let’s apply this teaching to what we take into our body and expose our body to: “And be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

SO WHY DO WE HUMANS GET SICK?
I’m going to drop a bombshell here: Almost every physical and even psychological problem we humans experience during our entire lifetime (other than accidents of course) is caused by the placing of wrong fuel (food or drink) into our body, and the physical and emotional problems we experience are almost always merely the body reacting to that wrong fuel.

If this be so, and it is an accurate statement, what can the doctor do to help us? If the problems we are experiencing are caused by wrong or bad fuel, can those pinging and knockings (physical problems) be corrected by placing more contaminants into the body in the form of drugs (poisons)? Or rather will not these additional contaminants produce more pinging and knocking (additional problems)?
And if the problem is caused by bad fuel, will radiating (burning) the offending part restore health? Or will removing the part surgically restore health? Do you believe the mechanic working on your car can, by removing the spark plugs or other parts, create a condition that will allow the car to run better, when the problem is bad fuel?

I CHANGED FUEL 34 YEARS AGO AND RECOVERED FROM CANCER
In 1976, after I was told I had colon cancer, I went looking for a way of dealing with that cancer without the use of toxic chemotherapy, burning radiation, or mutilating surgery, because of the devastating results my own mother had experienced going the medical route before me when dealing with her colon cancer.

The reason I went looking for an alternative was that after mother was diagnosed with colon cancer, she very willing accepted the standard medical treatments for cancer of chemotherapy, cobalt (radiation) and surgery, and at the time of her death I was convinced that all these treatments, rather than helping her get better, actually had make her worse and that it was these medical treatments that had become the very cause of her death.

Not wanting to go the way mother had gone with her colon cancer, in desperation I turned to an Evangelist friend in Texas by the name of Lester Roloff for help. At the time, brother Roloff was trying to get preachers and fellow Christians to change what they ate, but his efforts were met with not only rejection, but often ridicule and criticism.

However, my reaction to what Brother Roloff was saying was not one of rejection, ridicule or criticism, but rather “Brother Roloff I need your help” and his advice to me was, if I wanted to get well, I needed to stop placing into my body those things that had created my cancer – in other words he encouraged me to change the fuel.

His advice was that I eliminate anything of animal origin (both flesh and dairy), along with all refined sugar, refined flour and caffeine, the very substances I had been consuming on almost a daily basis for the previous 42 years. These were the things brother Roloff said had caused my cancer.

And in their place, Brother Roloff encouraged me to adopt the Genesis 1:29 diet, the very diet God had given Adam immediately after He had created him. The diet he encouraged me to consume was a diet consisting of 100% raw plant sourced garden foods and to drink a lot of freshly extracted raw vegetable juices.

It was in January 1976 I took Brother Roloff’s advice, made the diet change overnight, and almost immediately started to get well. The rectal bleeding soon stopped and the baseball tumor under my left rib cage began to shrink.

Within less than one year, without any chemotherapy, radiation or surgery, or any other doctoring, my tumor had simply disappeared and I was totally well. But not only did my cancer disappear that first year, but so did every other physical problems I was experiencing prior to making a change in the fuel (food and drink) I was placing in my body.

I WRITE A BOOK REGARDING BAD FUEL CAUSING PHYSICAL PROBLEMS
When I wrote my first book “Why Christians Get Sick” way back in 1988, I listed certain food and drink items Christians were placing into their body that were the primary cause of almost every physical problem, other than accidents, Christians were experiencing.

As the content of that book began to be realized I began to receive not only rejection, but also ridicule and criticism from fellow preachers and Christians just as Brother Roloff had received criticism before me when he tried to get Christians to change what they ate. The criticism was especially intense when I encouraged the elimination of animal flesh, dairy, and cheese. Hadn’t God told us we could eat animal flesh in Genesis 9:3 my critics railed?

Since that initial rejection of my book by the preachers and the Christian community in general, over a million copies of “Why Christians Get Sick” have been printed, while thousands have purchased additional copies to give to friends and loved ones who they wanted to see improve their health. Why would people send friends and loved ones copies of this book?

Because those who applied the teachings of the book almost always got well from whatever their physical or psychological problems were and they wanted their loved ones and friends to experience improved health also.

Here is a letter I received just this past week from Briana B., who lives in Bethel Springs, Tennessee: “Thanks you so much for spreading the good news of living God’s Way! I have just finished reading “Why Christians Get Sick” and really enjoyed it. I’ve been on the Hallelujah Lifestyle for just 3 days now and already feel great. Thanks so much for all you do to spread the good news and enlighten people.”

Armor all: Brazil is fast becoming the world's garage for armored cars.

By LUCIANO SOMENZARI

Levels of violent crime in big cities, above all in the developing world, can be frightening. Constant fear of terrorist attacks in the United States, Europe and in the Middle East worry business executives. In Brazil, companies make money by protecting people from those very real threats: It's now the largest producer of armored passenger automobiles. The know-how of turning a regular car into an armored vehicle has created yet another well received export.

According to according to market estimates, more than 3,800 armored vehicles were built in Brazil last year. During the first half of 2005, the industry reported a 15% increase from the same period a year earlier. Those figures show up on the bottom line: Armored passenger cars produced estimated revenue that year of US$100 million. In 1995, Brazilian factories produced 388 armored passenger vehicles; by 2002, the country's armor shops had built 4,136 passenger cars.

The number of armored vehicles roaming the streets of Brazil has reached 22,000, the third-largest fleet of private armored vehicles in the world after Colombia and Mexico. A good part of the production of components for high-security cars, such as bulletproof glass, is produced in Brazil and shipped abroad. "Brazil has become a respected supplier of armored vehicles because it offers good prices and high-quality technology," says Franco Giaffone, president of the Abrablin, the armored-car industry association. For Giaffone, the industry got to where it is today due to the Brazilian automotive sector, which was forced to become more competitive amid rising domestic demand.

White Death

Hallelujah Diet

Are you addicted to it? Consuming refined white sugar is one of the worst things we can do for our immune system, weight, and total health. Many holistic doctors say white sugar is a killing you. This may be overly simplistic, but it does sum up refined sugar’s impact on the physical body.
Not all sugars are unhealthy. Certain sugars have minimal negative impact and remarkable health benefits. However the refined white sugar that most people use every day is harmful even in small amounts.
Refined sugar suppresses the immune system. It has been shown to decrease the vitality and number of white blood cells, limiting the body’s ability to respond to invaders.
It also depresses the body’s energy field and makes the blood acidic. Both of these make the body more susceptible to toxins, bacteria and viruses. Sugar also feeds bacteria such as candida and yeast.
Refined sugar hits your bloodstream hard, severely impacts blood sugar levels, decreases digestive enzymes, increases body weight, and negatively affects the pancreas.
Found in most soft drinks, candy, sauces, salad dressings, baked goods and thousands of other prepared foods, refined sugar can be very difficult to avoid unless you are fixing your own food from scratch.
If you want to experience ultimate health as God designed for your body, avoid refined sugar!

DIY Cleanup and Maintenance

Some simple basic steps will keep your computer at peak performance, or revive it when it begins to slow down. If things simply don't function anymore and you're comfortable doing it, I always recommend a fresh install of OS (XP, Vista, Win7). I've known techs who wipe/reinstall religiously every six months or a year to keep everything clean and fast. For most end-users that's a bit extreme, so here's a quick tune-up guide:

1. Remove Unneeded Programs. If you never use a program or game anymore, why is it still on your system? Remove anything you don't need, especially anything with the word "search helper" or "toolbar" in it. Some things may not be listed in Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs, so check the Start menu for old applications' Uninstall shortcut.

2. Check system Startup. Lots of program creators love to gobble your Startup resources, which adds up and turns your booting and system tray into a big slow mess. To solve this, open MSconfig (Start-> Run-> msconfig-> OK) and uncheck anything you don't need to run at startup. If you don't know what something is, just Google it so you can make an informed choice before disabling it.

3. Disk cleanup. Over time, your hard drive gathers temporary files, setup files, and other miscellaneous garbage. This eats up disk space and slows down your PC. To solve this, simply click Start-> Programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> Disk Cleanup. Select what files you want deleted, but I do not recommend the 'Compress old files' option if you care about speed. Then click OK, OK.

4. Defrag, defrag, defrag. For the love of all that is computerized, defragment your hard drive! After months or years of use, your system drive has scattered bits of data everywhere, and the hard drive grinds like mad jumping all over to gather the pieces. Just start it before going to bed (Start-> All Programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> Disk Defragmenter) and by morning your computer will thank you. Once a month would be the minimum I'd recommend; if you can, once a week would be better. That way next time it will only take 20 minutes, not 2 hours, to complete.

5. Viri, Spyware, and Adware prevention applications. These are truly a double-edged sword. On one hand, they perform a valuable service. On the other, they can be a money sink to the uninformed and could slow your system worse than the possible problems. I personally do not use any resource-sucking resident scanner, but regularly give my system a full checkup instead. To use this method, my advice is to download, install, and occasionally run Adaware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad_aware_free.php) for the spyware/adware removal. For virus checking, stop by Trend Micro's HouseCall (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/) for a complete online virus scan. Both are free, of course. If you want a 24/7 virus protection, I unfortunately have no free recommendations… not if you want to keep your PC quick and unbloated. I prefer Nod32 (http://www.eset.com/download/index.php), which does cost money- but they do have a 30-day trial.

6. Be Windows smart. Avoid problem-causing behavior. Randomly installing games bundled with ‘search helpers,’ toolbars, or advertising offers is just begging for a slow system. Whenever possible, avoid hitting “next-next-next-next” during unfamiliar setup programs. It’s okay to select Custom or Advanced Install to see what’s going onto your PC. Use your common sense to evaluate the optional modules. Do you really need a 20-day e-Music offer? Do you really need yet another search bar or Savings Center? The web is full of spammy advertising; why give it space on your personal computer? Using Internet Explorer and blindly hitting okay to unsigned ActiveX popups is another good way to convert your desktop into an uncontrolled billboard.

7. Don’t Panic. If things do get bad, remember these options. Print this if you have to. An hour of your time can stop months of frustration, staring games with the hourglass cursor, and save hundreds in computer ‘repair’ bills.

Computer falsehoods

by CharredPC

In my years of computer repair and refurbishing, I've run into many fallacies of which I have a hard time convincing customers are wrong. So here's the top six things that most big store 'computer guys' don't want you to realize:

FALSE: "My PC is old and slow now, so I have to buy a new one (or purchase expensive upgrades to my current one)."
TRUE: When you bought your PC 2, 5, or even 7 years ago, it was nice and fast. It's the exact same hardware, so why do you think it needs replacing? All the stuff installed on it- unused applications, adware, toolbars, along with a lack of maintenance- is what has left it clogged up and slow. Software is like marker, and hardware is a whiteboard; do you throw away a whiteboard because it has smudges on it, or do you just clean it so it’s like new, and keep using it?

FALSE: "It takes a certified computer tech at a big-name store to diagnose and 'fix' my slow computer."
TRUE: You pay Geek Squad good money when on average they spend twenty minutes actually working with your machine. For the most part, it sits there unattended doing things you could easily set up, while they sell more overpriced computers to unsuspecting consumers. Why be a part of that? You don't have to. Scan for viruses during your lunch break. Scan for adware while at the movies. Do Disk Cleanup and defrag overnight. Hey, you’re good! They should hire you ;)

FALSE: "I need to have the latest operating system, Windows Vista- this salesman said so."
TRUE: Currently for 99% of consumers, every single thing you want to do on Vista, you can do on Windows XP... faster. With this guide, you have nearly every positive aspect of Vista, but without the many problems that have made many people switch back to XP. Is it worth saying you have the 'latest and greatest' if it isn't as efficient or productive?

FALSE: "A slow computer needs more memory- I should purchase extra RAM."
TRUE: Not always. If you are low on RAM (128MB or 256MB) adding more will indeed help. However, this has created a myth that more RAM = faster PC. If your machine is only using 400MB of the 1GB you have installed, how will adding another gig help? It won’t. You’ll see a much bigger improvement by de-bloating, cleaning and tweaking your operating system.

FALSE: "My computer won’t boot up- it’s obviously broken. I must need a new one."
TRUE: You wouldn’t believe how many nice laptops I’ve had people offer to sell me for $100 or less because they are ‘broken.’ In reality, Windows was corrupted. That’s all. Remember the whiteboard analogy? Thirty minutes of wiping and cleaning (troubleshooting in safe mode or reinstalling XP) solved everything, good as new. It’s broken when the screen cracks. It’s broken when the hinges break. It’s not broken when you get a virus and XP can’t finish loading.

FALSE: "Newer is better, and my PC or laptop is several years old. I must need a new one."
TRUE: If you’re trying to play WoW on an original Pentium MMX, then I completely agree. But if you only browse the web, write school papers, check email and chat online with your 1.2GHz Pentium III… then why upgrade? Because you bought it more than four years ago? Why not try a little maintenance, a few tweaks, maybe some GUI enhancements, and save $500? It will look and feel like a whole new machine. You’ll still accomplish everything you want to, and when you do get around to purchasing a new computer in a year or two, that $500 will go much farther. Clever you, waiting and saving money!

12 BASIC PRECAUTIONS to minimise exposure to radiation when using a mobile phone

1. Limit phone calls to those that are absolutely necessary, and restrict these to 6 minutes maximum, which is the time the body needs to adjust. Use a hands-free kit and hold the phone more than 20/30cm away from your body in order to limit the impact of radiation on yourself.

2. Do not carry your phone directly on your body, even on stand-by, and do not use it less than one metre away from another person, in order to reduce the effect of 'passive' radiation.

3. Those under 15 should not use a mobile phone at all because they are still growing. With their lighter body weight the radiation is more damaging, especially to the brain, weakening the Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB), and to the reproductive organs/ovaries, etc. .

4. Any elderly person should be discouraged from using a mobile phone, as well as anyone in a weakened state (the radiation will weaken their organism further), and any pregnant woman. Microwave radiation is readily absorbed by the amniotic fluid in which the embryo and then the foetus develops. .

5. Use the phone only in conditions of optimum reception: do not use it in a confined space such as an elevator, basement, underground station, caravan, etc. In these situations the strength of the signal both sending and receiving is much greater thus the radiation is much more intense.

6. Do not use the phone while you are in a moving vehicle, including the train, bus, etc, since its antenna will be constantly scanning for contact using the maximum signal strength, and the radiation from both incoming and outgoing signal will be intensified.

7. Do not use the phone while in any vehicle, even when stationary. An enclosed metal container produces the "Faraday cage" effect, which maximizes the damaging impact of radiation, reflecting not only on the person phoning but also on other passengers, especially children. Thus it is essential to step out of the vehicle before making a call. .

8. Do not keep a mobile phone beside the bed at night switched on, because even when on stand-by it is in contact with the nearest phone mast and emits radiation at regular intervals. .

9. Equip yourself preferably with:
- a mobile phone with the lowest possible SAR rating (= Specific Absorption Rate of microwave radiation by human body tissues). The regulation limit is 1.1W/kg for eye-sockets and cheeks.
- a phone with an external antenna, because even if it is less trendy, the omni-directional antenna broadcasts with maximum efficiency and therefore uses a weaker signal than one with an inbuilt antenna. The fashion factor matters less than the health factor. .
10. Use of a mobile phone should be avoided by anyone who has any metallic object in or on their head, whether magnetic or not, such as amalgam fillings and dental bridges, metal plates, screws, clips, body ornaments, earrings or metal framed glasses. The same is true for those with walking frames, wheelchairs or metal crutches, so as to avoid increasing radiation by the phenomena of reflection, amplification, resonance, passive re-emission, etc... .

11. Make use of protective items to shield yourself from radiation, such as a metal phone carrying case, protective anti-radiation fabric and veils, metallic foil wallpaper, anti-radiation paint, etc, all which have been proved to be effective. .

12. Make as many phone calls as possible using landlines which emit no radiation, and which can often be used for free and for unlimited time via the Internet, even for phone calls abroad.

Satan Technology

Did you know that Satan with his 5 “I’s” ambitions to be like God will come into a reality?

Lucifer 5 “I’s” (Isa 14:12-15):

• I will ascend into heaven
• I will exalt my throne above the stars of God
• I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north
• I will ascend above the heights of the clouds
• I will be like the most High

Lucifer who is Satan shall indeed will be like God. He will reign and rule with great power and might exactly as of God. He will become omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. How? It is through the “Anti-Christ” and the “Super-Advanced-Technology” that will be employ during the “Tribulation day” period. In other words, Satan will become the exact copy of God in a very sophisticated and artificial manner by means of technology.

The saying, “You can run but you can’t hide” shall takes place in those terrible days. Our true God will let Satan to languish in his long ambitions to establish his kingdom upon the earth. But woe to him, the power and authority he posses is only for a certain time. Soon he will meet his horrifying end and with him are those whose name are not written in the book of life.

Satan has all the (sophisticated and artificial) power and authority to be like God:

the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
…and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life
And he exerciseth all the power
And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (Rev 13:12-17)

Why we should give much concern about the “End-times” and the things written in the Book of Rev.?

• Last days will be like the days of Noah and of Lot. (Luk 17:17-29)

• Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. (Mat 24:46)

• Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. (Rev 1:3)
